Our Work

THE ĒMA PROGRAM

ĒMA is a court approved, prevention program designed to advocate for moms in crisis to preserve their families. We pair moms at-risk of losing their children into foster care with an ĒMA Advocate who builds meaningful relationship and provides holistic support, ensuring every mother has an opportunity to thrive. Our outcome-based model empowers families to achieve stability and stay together.

Our Model

Our program entails two key players to help ensure every mom has what she needs to raise her children in a stable and nurturing home.

ĒMA Advocates are trained volunteers who are recruited from local churches to journey with one mom and build meaningful relationship. They provide ongoing mentorship while equipping moms with resources and tools needed to achieve their family goals. Advocates work alongside a professional team of Care Coordinators who represent moms in court and connect them to needed community services like therapy, housing, and economic opportunities.
